Hugh Hefner
American publisher Hugh Hefner arrives at London Airport from Chicago with an entourage of Playboy Bunnies, 26th June 1966. He is in the capital for the opening of the London Playboy Club on Park Lane.
Hefner grew up in Chicago. He has a Swedish certificate on his mother's side. Hugh Hefner worked for Esquire magazine in the early 1950s. Hefner started thinking about the perfect magazine, and in the kitchen of his Chicago home, started Stag Party Magazine, a men's magazine soon renamed Playboy.
The first issue was decorated by Marilyn Monroe, which contributed to the success.
